Jammu: The police revealed horrifying details of the terror assault while stating that the two terrorists who opened fire at a village in the Kathua region of Jammu and Kashmir last evening had gone door-to-door demanding water. However, the vigilant locals locked the doors in their faces.

Late last night, Anand Jain, the Additional Director General of Police for the Jammu zone, who is in charge of the counterterrorism operations in Kathua, reported that the terrorists were initially spotted in the Saida Sukhal hamlet of Hira Nagar.

They made requests for water from a few homes, but the people became suspicious and shut their doors, and some of them made loud noises. According to him, the terrorists became frightened and opened fire at an unusual villager who was walking by as well as indiscriminately in the air.

Two days before these two occurrences, a bus carrying pilgrims was attacked in Reasi and plunged into a gorge, resulting in nine fatalities and thirty-three injuries. According to officials, Abu Hamza, the chief of Lashkar-e-Taiba, gave the order for the attack.
