Kannada actor Darshan, associates held in murder case



Police said that Renukaswamy, an actor's admirer, was killed after being tortured for reportedly harassing Darshan's close friend Pavithra Gowda online.

Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa of Kannada was arrested by Bangalore police on June 11 in Mysuru in relation to a murder case, according to HT Kannada. The South Indian actor is being transported to Bangalore after being detained on suspicion of having connections to the murder of Renukaswamy.

Renukaswamy is accused of posting disparaging remarks against Pavitra Gowda on social media and recommending a preliminary police inquiry. Following the discovery of Renukaswamy's dead body close to Bengaluru's Sumannahalli Bridge, police launched an inquiry, according to Asianet.
 
This case has resulted in ten arrests thus far. A news conference regarding the case is expected to provide more details soon, according to a report on Asianet.The 47-year-old was taken from a Mysuru hotel in relation to Renukaswamy's murder.

Police in Bengaluru's Kamakshipalya area are said to have killed Renukaswamy two months ago after torturing him for hours and disposing of his body in a drain. This information was revealed by The Hindu. June 9: On that day, the police removed the deceased body from the vicinity and launched an inquiry.

Law enforcement officers have been stationed close to Darshan Thoogudeepa's Bengaluru home following his apprehension. Indian Express said that three suspects in the murder case had confessed to killing Renukaswamy due to money problems. These individuals had been detained during the inquiry.
